개인정보처리방침

1. 적용 대상

이 개인정보처리방침은 Chrome 확장 프로그램 “강의 다국어 자막 도우미”(이하 “확장 프로그램”)에 적용됩니다.

2. 처리하는 정보

확장 프로그램은 기능 제공을 위해 다음 정보를 사용자의 기기 안에서 처리합니다.

• 열어 둔 Udemy 강의 페이지에 현재 표시되는 자막 텍스트
• 선택한 원문 언어 및 번역 언어
• 품질 모드 사용 여부와 확장 프로그램 실행 상태
• 사용자가 옮긴 번역 자막의 화면 위치

이름, 이메일 주소, 결제 정보, Udemy 계정 비밀번호 또는 전체 웹 방문 기록은 수집하지 않습니다.

3. 이용 목적

현재 표시되는 원문 자막을 선택한 언어로 번역해 보조 자막으로 표시하고, 사용자가 선택한 설정과 자막 위치를 복원하는 데에만 정보를 사용합니다.

4. 저장 및 보관

언어 설정, 품질 모드, 켜짐/꺼짐 상태 및 자막 위치는 chrome.storage.local을 통해 사용자의 기기에만 저장됩니다.

자막 텍스트와 문맥 버퍼는 메모리에서만 일시적으로 처리되며 디스크에 저장하지 않습니다. 확장 프로그램을 끄거나, 강의가 바뀌거나, 페이지를 닫으면 해당 버퍼를 폐기합니다.

5. 외부 전송, 판매 및 공유

자막 텍스트나 설정을 개발자 또는 제3자의 서버로 전송하지 않습니다. 광고, 분석 SDK, 추적 코드 및 외부 번역 API를 사용하지 않으며 정보를 판매하거나 제3자에게 공유하지 않습니다.

번역은 Chrome에 내장된 Translator API로 사용자의 기기에서 수행됩니다. 처음 사용하는 언어 조합에서는 Chrome이 자체 정책과 설정에 따라 언어 모델을 다운로드할 수 있습니다.

7. 사용자의 선택과 삭제

사용자는 언제든 확장 프로그램을 끄거나 제거할 수 있습니다. 저장된 설정은 Chrome의 확장 프로그램 데이터 삭제 기능 또는 확장 프로그램 제거를 통해 삭제할 수 있습니다. 일시적인 자막 버퍼는 확장을 끄거나 강의 또는 페이지가 바뀌면 자동으로 삭제됩니다.

8. 보안 및 제한적 사용

모든 실행 코드는 확장 패키지 안에 포함되며 원격 코드를 실행하지 않습니다. 사용자 데이터의 이용은 Chrome Web Store 사용자 데이터 정책의 제한적 사용 요건을 준수하며, 위에서 설명한 단일 기능 제공 목적으로만 제한됩니다.

9. 아동의 개인정보

아동을 대상으로 개인정보를 수집하지 않으며, 어떠한 사용자의 개인정보도 개발자 서버로 수집하지 않습니다.

10. 변경 및 문의

기능 또는 정보 처리 방식이 달라지면 이 문서와 시행일을 갱신합니다. 개인정보 관련 문의는 Chrome Web Store 등록 페이지의 개발자 지원 연락처로 보내주시기 바랍니다.

1. Scope and information processed

This policy applies to “Lecture Multilingual Subtitle Helper.” To provide its features, the Extension processes locally: caption text currently shown on a Udemy lecture page, the selected source and target languages, the quality-mode and enabled preferences, and the selected subtitle position. It does not collect names, email addresses, payment details, Udemy passwords, or complete browsing history.

2. Purpose, storage, and retention

This information is used only to translate the displayed caption, show an additional subtitle, and restore preferences. Preferences are stored on the user's device with chrome.storage.local. Caption text and context are processed temporarily in memory, are not written to disk, and are discarded when the Extension is disabled, the lecture changes, or the page closes.

3. External transmission, sale, and sharing

The Extension does not transmit captions or settings to a developer or third-party server. It contains no ads, analytics, tracking, or external translation API and does not sell or share information. Translation is performed on-device with Chrome's built-in Translator API. Chrome may download a language model under its own policies and settings.

5. User choice, security, and contact

Users can disable or uninstall the Extension at any time. All executable code is packaged with the Extension and no remote code is executed. Data use is limited to the single stated purpose and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy's Limited Use requirements.
